I use two of these to dehumidify my basement. One needed to be replaced after two years. The other is still dehumidifying after three years. It works very well but a bit noisy on high.

This was the perfect choice. I have it draining into my sump pump automatically so I know longer need to remember to empty the bucket! Time saver and perfect when traveling. I kept my smaller one running next to it and in 2 days, my old one hadn™™t collect a drop as this Frigidaire one worked so well! Highly recommend!!

We have had 2 failures on 2 separate 50 pint model FFAD5033W1 (icing up, units determined to be terminal fail). These units were LESS than 2 years old and only run 5mos. per year during the humid summers, unacceptable performance!!!. The latest failed last week, the placement is in a finished basement and the filters are perfectly clean, these units are just junk!!. Frigidaire quality control on these units is abysmal, I don't know if they got a bad run of components or this is a design flaw but there is NO reason these units should have failed at such a young age if they were designed and built properly. One failure? OK statistically it happens, but TWO?, now we have a problem!!! We have a MUCH older Frigidaire dehumid that I put back into service as it still runs and has outlived these newer units by about a decade. I replaced it because the auto shut off stopped working after a few years and it just continuously runs which isn't a problem in our large basement. It NEVER iced up and put water all over our floors. Research other brands because these units can no longer be trusted, I would give ZERO stars if that were an option.

Replacement for a 5 year old broken unit. This unit is very quiet and great at clearing the humidity in our basement. I like that it turns off when it reaches the humidity level I set. The bucket is easy to empty.

The dehumidifier works fine for now. My concern is how long it will last. In recent years I've had multiple dehumidifiers that have stopped working well short of a year.

I've tried 3 other brands of dehumidifier to help address a basement challenge I have. Each of the others have been less effective or have leaked / broken within the first few weeks of use.This unit is working perfectly well and is highly effective.

I have a damp basement and seem to have boughten many dehumidifier™™s in my day. They all seem to run fine for the first few years but then something always goes wrong with the electronics in the units and of course the warranty has expired. They either run and run even though you set the unit to a certain temperature but when the room reaches that temperature the unit will not shut off. Hopefully this new Fridgerdaire will last.

Instructions were easy to follow for set up and use. Purchased this for our basement and it has been successful in keeping it damp free. It is very quite, hardly know it's running when we are in the basement.

It has only been a few days but so far I am loving this dehumidifier. My home is comfortable again and I am sleeping better. I will caution folks about the handle of the water container. Since this holds a lot of water it can be tricky to move it for dumping. The handle has a tendency to slip out of the holder if you do not hold the container carefully as you dump. I do not plan to use the continuous drainage so I have learned to be careful. Over all I am very happy with this machine and then level of moisture removal Thank you Frigidaire!.

Sure takes the humidity down quickly. Sleek design but awkward water basket. I™™ve seen reviews that discuss the reliability of the humidistat. So far it seems to be working properly. Kinda scary reading about flammable refrigerant. Definitely read the warnings to avoid a fire!

This is much quieter than my last one. I like that the air from the unit is distributed straight up from the unit and the large capacity tank. My last one had a smaller tank that required more frequent dumping. Works as advertised. We use it in the basement.

This dehumidifier takes out an amazing amount of moisture out of the air in our whole house!! I keep it in the basement, and Have the hose hooked up, so there is no need for me to dump the water container. Have always bought Frigidaire dehumidifiers, because of their durability!! Last one lasted almost 15 years!! Keep up the good work, Frigidaire!!

I have COPD and had a different brand dehumidifier that broke. While I went through the warranty process, I had to buy another dehumidifier so I could breathe better. The difference between the Frigidaire and the other guy is amazing! The Frigidaire cycles and definitely works better. The other guy didn™™t cycle. Big improvement!

Have had it running for about 3 wks now. So far so good. Pulling a good amt of moisture out of air and runs quieter than a previous unit we had. Hopefully it lasts for quite awhile and doesn't quit working because it seems dehumidifiers don't last like ones we have purchased in the past.

My basement quickly reached the desired humidity level, and the unit operates smoothly on a low fan setting to maintain that level. The fan is slightly louder than expected in low mode, but it's not an issue.
